The structure of a training session
Do the hard things when you have the best focus
We usually divide training sessions into four parts:
Warm up
Preparing your body to perform and move well. This can include a common warm up and play as well as individual activation/priming of weak areas.
Primary work
Learning new stuff
Do the most technically demanding movements
No chatting in between sets - it is of course ok to talk about the exercise, but try to keep the pace and remain fully focused!
Secondary work
Less technical work, but can still be very taxing/demanding on the body
Accessory work
Work on smaller muscles and isolated movements
Stretching and recovery
